Warner holiday

Mr & Mrs Henderson took a mini-break around the country in June. Mr Henderson writes:

“Mrs Henderson and myself have now come back to the everyday routine of phone calls, hospital duties, trolley rounds at Day Centres and work at the Church. Thanks to you all, we spent ten days together when we went on the Warner Homes Holiday which you helped to provide. We have not spent ten days together without any interruptions for many years.

We started off by travelling to Nidd Hall, which is near Ripley in Yorkshire, and this was an easy trip up the A59. We spent three days here with meals provided, and a “do what you please” attitude so we had a very relaxing three days. The next stop was Thoresby Hall, and this was reached by travelling down to Nottinghamshire on the A1/M1. We stayed here for four days, and once again, we had a most enjoyable time. No worry about meals and another relaxing time in and around the Hall and Sherwood Forest. Finally, we travelled across to Cheshire to Alvaston Hall, which is near Nantwich, and we spent three days of happy and relaxed time together.

Back home to Southport, and we would not have spent ten days away on holiday without your kind thoughts and help so a very big THANK YOU to you all. Take care of yourselves, and our love and best wishes to you all.”
