Hello to all! I just want to mention what a great job Tony, Robert and Mike did to organise the reunion that took place yesterday at the Southport Coaster. I think everyone who attended last night thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I reckon Mr Birkby was very pleased to meet some pupils that he had not seen for many years. Ann McDermott Brian Bradley and Alan Baines turned up which was great too! Chris Yates and myself hope these reunions keep going for some time yet! Lets keep it alive. Regards to everyone. I would like to say that I have throughly enjoyed the reunion at The Southport Coaster. Met old friends that I haven’t seen since 1967!!! That is some 57 years!!
I have made some new friends too.

I will certainly return again when next reunion is due.

I haven’t ordered my tickets , so I will give Saturdays reunion a miss, my housemanager said to me next time, so I will try and remember to order tickets for the next reunion whenever it’s on and go to it

I have news to tell you who knew Lorna Haycock, left school in 1987 aged 52/53, that sadly she passed away a week yesterday and her funeral will take place next Friday 5th July at 10.30am at Flintshire Crematorium, Oakenholt Lane, NORTHOP, CH7 6DF

Hello… I have only just discovered this website existed!
I have spent all evening looking through the different articles, photographs, etc…I didn’t even know there were regular reunions either. Maybe I’ll attend the next one.
I wanted to know - does anyone know what happened to all the videos that were made when we were at school? (The ones we had to do each year to show how we were progressing)…. I’m sure one was made of us dancing around the Maypole as well…

Hello, sadly to let you know that Barry Ford died a week last Saturday 5th May. He was 82,lived in Trowbridge, Wiltshire and left school end of 1957. RIP Barry

Hello I was a housemother I really enjoyed working and having fun as well in the seventies it’s lovely to see you all grown up I’m away for the reunion but will look out for more to come .

I got my tickets for Septembers reunion least Monday, my residential manager is looking for a member of staf from my house to take me, so hopefully I’ll be their on 16th september

I loved my time at Birkdale and have happy memories. I left in 1971.
I would to attend the 75th anniversary reunion next year and look forward to see my old school mates.

It was great to catch up with everyone.
